Our Desert DynaMin dust in an ultra-fine naturally mined trace mineral powder that can be used as a direct mineral supplement for all livestock, mixed into their daily food ration. The additional mineral content provides the complete nutrient sources that make up for any lack of trace minerals in traditional forage crops. The Dynamin can be mixed into the feed ration or it can be offered in tubs for free-choice consumption. The animals will eat what their bodies tell them to.
Trace minerals are essential for the proper and full operation of the animal's internal systems. Trace minerals are the activators for many functions and systems and without the presence of the trace minerals, the animals under-perform in many ways. With the extra trace mineral availability, the animals will be healthier, stronger, and the finished meat will be more nutritious for those who consume it.
Our experience has shown that when the Desert Dynamin is available, cattle will initially consume quite a bit, but their need for it will diminish over time. We have also seen that if the mother cows have access to the Desert Dynamin, the calves have much less need of it than calves who did not have it in-utero.
When presented in mixed rations, we recommend a general serving of:
- Adult Cattle/Bison - 4 oz per head per day
- Weaned Calves - 1 oz per head per day, gradually increased as they grow to the adult rate
